Health Implication

DAYCARE RESTRICTIONS

Children who do not have access to clean diapers are exposed to health risks such as painful rashes, infections and even more serious side effects such as kidney damage.

Parents are required to provide up to 8 disposable diapers to childcare centers daily in order for their children to attend. Cloth Diapers are NOT accepted in the majority of Broward County daycares.

MOTHERS WELL BEING

Research from Yale University School of Medicine indicates that women who lack an adequate supply of diapers for their babies are more likely to report symptoms of depression and anxiety, than other low-income mothers.

BROWARD COUNTY BABIES NEED YOUR HELP

According to the U.S. Census Bureau,  in Broward County alone, 29% of children are in actual poverty.
